Eric Lock flew with No. 41 Squadron, part of RAF Fighter Command during the battle shooting down 21 German aircraft.
After the Battle of Britain he flew on the Channel Front, flying offensive sweeps over occupied France where he shot down another 5 enemy planes bringing his final score to 26 aircraft. On 3 August 1941 he was presumed shot down by German flak after strafing enemy troops.Alas never to be seen again.
