The AH-64D Longbow is the upgraded version of the initial AH-64A. The enhancements include the new advanced fire control system, new hellfire missile capabilities, new and more powerful engines, and a new electronics suite for much greater lethality. Although built on a similar platform, the Longbow is immediately identifiable by the mast mounted fire control radar assembly.
