Wow, hot, hot, hot. Summer is here and it shows. But how could we complain when we think of all these Canadians soldiers that just arrived in Afghanistan where it is supposed to be around 50C. I am sure all of us wish them good luck and hope to see them back soon.

For the moment, let’s say July is a bumper month for K&C releases and collectors of two of our most popular ranges… “BERLIN’38” and “Fields of Battle” with over 20 new releases. Let’s get into them…

UPCOMING ATTRACTIONS IN JULY 07!

Black is back!

Politically incorrect it maybe but there is no doubt that the LAH series is very popular among collectors.

Just another way to show you how they organized massed rallies and paraded with their banners through villages, towns and cities all over Germany.

The Generals – Can you recognize them?

Based on some of the ruins that can still be seen in present-day Nuremburg this stand makes the ideal display area for LAH “personalities”.

Virginia Provincial Regiment of Foot
(John Jenkins)

The Virginia Provincial Regiment was formed in 1754, and one of its main duties was to man the chain of small forts and patrol along the frontier during the war.

The Regiment served at Fort Necessity, and with Braddock at Monongahela, as well as several other expeditions and campaigns during the French and Indian war.

After the death of Col. Joshua Frey in 1754, command fell to Lt.Col. George Washington, who remained in command until 1758. It was under George Washingtons command that the “Virginia blues” uniform of blue with red facings was introduced, and remained with the regiment for its entire existence until 1762. It is not surprising that the blue coat became the colour for the first American uniform introduced by George Washington in the later American War of Independence. These are limited edition of 500.
