To all collectors welcome to the February edition of the Toy Soldiers’ Club News. It is a great month for us… we have a 4 page article in the Toy Soldier Magazine presenting the Toy Soldiers’ Club ;-) Doing things right serving all our collectors and building a great Club really helped us grab their attention. The pictures were great and thanks to the editor, the article was amazing.

Guess what temperature we have here! With wind factor, -20C to -30C… ouch! But the sun is shinning and we are in the midst of the latest edition of the winter Carnaval (the biggest winter carnival in the world …. Wow). Plus, we have some exciting new releases for you this month: King and Country, as usual, and now also a special presentation of the John Jenkins’ collection.

Coming in "FEBRUARY 07"

In last month’s “DISPATCHES” we returned to the sands of Ancient Egypt in the days of antiquity. Now we’re returning to the burning sands of Egypt and North Africa in the dark days of 1942 with our latest World War Two releases…

SP028
Water is the most precious commodity in the dry arid heat of the Middle Eastern desert lands and here’s one solution… refreshment for weary travellers and rampaging armies.

EA016
Until the arrival of better armed and better armoured American alternatives Britain’s Eighth Army had to make do with what was available. In this case, the already obsolete Vickers MK. VI light tank.

AK030
Rommel’s Afrika Korps however have been much luckier with their reinforcements…This nifty little German tank comes with an aerial recognition flag on the rear… an AK tank commander and… 3 fighting Italian “Blackshirt” infantry in support.

German and Italian forces in the desert had the occasional lukewarm support of some elements of the French Vichy Armed forces… in this case, their indigenous Camel Corps.

AK035
A much- requested item… Two AK riders on reconnaissance and they’ve spotted trouble.

“AMERICAN REVOLUTIONARY WAR”

Back to the Backwoods!
We presented you in our last edition the latest release of “1776 REV WAR” range figures but had no picture for the British figure BR054. So here it is:

BR054
A simple, commandeered farm wagon loaded with supplies and pulled by a single horse led in turn by a walking trooper of 16th Light Dragoons..

THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY COLLECTION

John Jenkins is a great artist who produces 60mm figures in limited edition of 250. Unfortunately before, we did not have the chance to present you this collection in our newsletter. But this month is special because he is introducing a subject we had never seen before: canoes! So we take this opportunity to review with you his fantastic line of figurines presenting, in their colourful uniforms, the heroes of the French and Indian War.
