47th Regiment of Foot "WOLFE'S OWN"

This grouping includes a British Officer, two Officers with banner, Drummer boy and 2 sets each of British Grenadiers and British Line Infantry. QB-03, QB-04, QB-05, QB-06 X 2 and QB-07 X 2

British Line Infantry, 47thRegiment of Foot. The 47th Regiment of foot, played a key role in the French and Indian War. They were under Wolfe's command at the Siege of Louisburg, and were one of the key regiments in the British battle line at The Battle of The Plains of Abraham. Wolfe was so well-respected by the men of the 47th, that to commemorate the Death of Wolfe in the battle, the regiment began wearing a black line in their lace and were also given the nickname "WOLFE'S OWN"
